STATIC.137
A downloadable game

In STATIC.137 you operate a modified radio in a world whose networks have fallen silent. This solo journaling RPG asks you to tune into atmospheric echoes of the past: fragments of conversations, stray memories, and broken data, and to record what returns. Use a deck of cards and a roll of the dice to shape each transmission, then weave those fragments into journal entries that preserve the last whispers of a vanished world. It is an introspective sandbox, not a mystery to be solved, but a place to listen and remember. Let the static speak.

- Easy-to-learn rules on 10 pages, so you can start playing right away.
- A simple dice-rolling system using two six-sided dice (2d6).
- A solo journaling structure guided by a deck of playing cards.
- Echo Tables filled with mysterious fragments and transmissions to inspire your writing.
- A Meta Echo system that adds striking themes and resonant moments, shaping how the story lingers rather than solving a puzzle.
A world cloaked in silence. Step into a world where all communication has vanished. There is no one to answer, no news to follow, only static in the air. STATIC.137 is a unique solo experience that lets you listen to what remains and preserve echoes of a world that has already faded.
Become the last archivist. You are the one who tunes into the ghosts hidden in the frequencies. Your role is to interpret fragmented echoes of Despair, Information, Memory, and Strangeness, and to give them form. You are the final witness, the keeper of fading voices, the one who records what would otherwise be lost.
Creative and introspective storytelling. Your journal is your most important tool. It is not just a notebook; it becomes the final archive of humanity. Fill it with vivid impressions of the echoes you receive, the connections you imagine, and your own reflections on a silent world. Will you capture the fragments as raw records, or shape them into a more personal account of what lingers in the static? The choice is yours.
- Something to write on and with: A notebook, a laptop, a tablet, or a journal dedicated to your discoveries. Any way you prefer to record your journey will work.
- A standard deck of playing cards with jokers: The heart of the game. Cards are used to determine which echoes you receive and to trigger special Meta Echo events that drive the story forward.
- Two six-sided dice (2d6): These dice set the strength of your signal, adding chance to how many transmissions break through the static.
- This rulebook: Your guide to the world of STATIC.137.
